This NZLA Service Award is presented to Tricia Kenyon in recognition of her significant level of commitment to supporting literacy education through her local council, Waiariki Literacy Association and at the national level as Treasurer of the New Zealand Literacy Association from 2012 to 2019.

Tricia was a member of WLA, formerly known as the Bay of Plenty Literacy Association, for many years and was a member of the organising committee of the NZLA conference in 2011.

While NZLA Treasurer, Tricia modernised the financial systems introducing XERO to enable more streamlined management systems. We have truly valued her expertise and commitment in this area.
